We had our first snafu with the save-the-date card. The cards were shipped to me because I volunteered to type the labels, stuff, seal and stamp. The card was clearly printed twice with slight overlapping. Margot and Andy were bummed, concerned about the company.
I told them to contact the company and sent them a pdf of the card. The company representative from Minted.com was very professional and apologetic. They reprinted and shipped express at no charge.
The new card is perfect! We got them out a few days later than expected, but certainly with enough time to get on everyone’s calendar.
Ironically, Andy’s brother Matthew is also getting married this year and their save-the-date card arrived on the same day. Margot thought it was funny, Andy was disappointed and Mrs. B (Andy’s mom) thought it was wonderful. She got responses about what an exciting time it must be for the family!
The card is adorable and suits them to a tee. Margot went to makeup school (MUD) and lipstick is her thing and Andy has a mustache and beard!
Even the back is cute!
Update on Tent Appointment
The snow is melting slowly. The appointment for the tent company to come out is next Monday. I think we’ll have to postpone again. No way that snow is going away in a week!

I love this post–it let’s us behind-the-scenes of the entrepreneur, the mom and the mother-in-law to be. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks Janeen. I’m having fun with it and I think it will help Margot remember more. These events go so quickly, are so filled with emotion and anxiety that we forget sometimes to stop, breathe and enjoy the moment!
Kudos on your MOB blog, Trish! So enjoyed these first two posts and looking forward to each succeeding week! The pictures are beautiful and add such a personal touch! What a loving and generous gift to Margot and Andy! Thanks for all you are doing!
