The Bridal Party (left to right) Ashley, Vicky, Margot, Simone, Claire and Jessica.
A couple of weekends ago, we went bridal party dress shopping. Four of Margot’s five bridesmaids and her maid of honor, sister Claire, came in from out of state. We had a houseful, including my sister-in-law, Frann, (her daughter Jessica is a bridesmaid), and Jessica’s daughter Dylan. It was a noisy, messy, crazy weekend!
The buzz in the house reminded me of the “old” days when Margot and her friends came home at 3am after a show and oftentimes brought one of the bands along as well. I was frequently feeding hungry kids in the wee hours of the morning.
Saturday we met at David’s Bridal in Norwalk to outfit the bridal party. I have photos for you, but I’m not telling you which dress or dresses were chosen or the colors. That surprise comes with the last MOB blog – The Wedding Day!
The entire appointment from signing in to paying took 1 hour and 45 minutes. I was impressed with how easy everyone was with the process and the decision making went smoothly. Each bridesmaid seemed happy, and more importantly, looked comfortable in their choice.
After shopping, we had a delicious and fun lunch at Craft 14.
Next week wedding dress shopping!
BTW, the snow is melting and it’s raining today, which may get rid of the rest of it. Audrey wisely suggested postponing the meeting with Stamford Tent to May 2nd.
